Do you have a daughter that has begun navigating
the world of menstruation?
First, I want to thank you for caring about your daughter's well-being in this way. I frequently encounter young women that have no understanding of or appreciation for the wonderful design of their bodies. And why should they? With the limited information they get in health class and all of the pressures around them, it's no wonder being a menstruating female feels like a burden for most young women. It doesn't have to be this way.
Do you want her to have the foundation and tools she needs to make wise decisions about her lifestyle and health?
Together, we can introduce your daughter to the world of women's health and show her that being a menstruating woman is a gift. And teach her how to use her unique physiology to her advantage to accomplish great things rather than a handicap that holds her back.
Through this program, she will learn how to care for her body. She will be taught tools to build the foundation for a healthy and confident life which will give her an advantage.
Not only that, but you will also receive support in navigating the highs and lows of this time with her.
So thank you, thank you for being proactive and giving your daughter this gift that will serve her for the rest of her life.
This 3 cycle program is designed to teach your daughter about her body in a way that will work best for her. This program offers one-on-one sessions, text, and email support. She will learn about her cycle phases, supportive foods, long-term lifestyle changes, and how to use her strengths to her advantage. We will also cover how to prepare and handle the weak seasons when her body may need more rest or nurturing. By the end of her 3 month mentorship, she will have the foundation and key habits put in place to continue to care for herself, long after her mentorship comes to an end.
Because this is a mentorship (and not just a course), we are able to use the power of social connection to develop a deeper understanding of her unique body and it's needs.
The added benefit of the Youth Mentorship Program is that you are able to play a key role in her learning if you choose to do so. You will receive updates on what she is learning and suggestions for ways to encourage this information. This parent-mentor partnership is highly recommended and will aid in her understanding and habit development.
You also can use the benefit of support calls and emails. Both of these options can offer tailored suggestions for any issues or struggles that arise during the mentorship course.
FAQ's
When does the Youth Menstrual Mentorship begin?
This mentorship is a 3-month program that can begin any time after her first period.
When will the one-on-one meetings happen?
2 video sessions are held each month in the follicular phase (right after the period) and the luteal phase (right before the period). If she lives within a reasonable distance, in-person seasons are also available.
Are there any requirements outside of our sessions?
I will give homework that matches the stage we are in the program. This homework is not graded but is important for understanding, retaining, and implementing what she has learned.
Is other support offered?
During the menstrual and ovulatory phases, I will be available through text and email. She will be encouraged to reach out with any thoughts, comments, questions, or concerns.

Why does this program follow the menstrual cycle rather than a calendar?
As she will learn in this mentorship program, the female body and mind are not the same every day of the month. Each phase is optimized for different activities. Working with these phases also will allow her to have a better understanding of her body and it's rhythms.

What if she is not regular?
If she has slight variations in her cycle this is not a problem. This program is designed to be flexible and work with the timing of her body. If her cycle is unpredictable enough that it poses a problem, we will work around the cycle of the moon because a regular menstrual cycle mimics the length of a lunar cycle, making it simple to understand.
Why 3 cycles?
From the cyclical structure of this program to its length, this mentorship will bring her in touch with her body's rhythms. The life cycle of an unfertilized egg is about 3 cycles long and so is this program.
What if she wants a longer mentorship?
Each mentorship program is 3 cycles long but there is more to learn than can be taught in that amount of time. In the final session, the next phase of her mentorship will be open for scheduling. To ensure the highest quality of mentorship, only a handful of clients are enrolled at a time, but priority is given to those already involved in the mentorship program.
Is this program medical advice?
This mentorship is strictly for educational purposes and should not be considered a substitute for medical advice. This program is designed to give her the resources and information that help her make informed decisions about her menstrual health with the aid of a licensed medical practitioner.

Can this program help her become regular?
It is very common for young women's bodies to need time to figure out how to be regular. But many women find that when they understand their bodies and how to support them, for their bodies to become regular. This is not a guarantee but is often the case.
